SEPTA
SEPTA is the primary local Public Transportation authority. Their web site, www.septa.org, includes maps, schedules, and transit advisories. Drexel also offers a 10% discount on monthly SEPTA passes for fulltime undergraduate and graduate students. New Jersey Transit
Many Drexel commuters also hop on NJ Transit to come to campus. For more information on NJ Transit, please visit www.njtransit.com. NJ Transit also provides a 25% discount to all full time graduate and undergraduate students on their monthly passes. PATCO
The PATCO Speedline also provides a fast and convient way for students to travel to and from campus. PATCO has stops through Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia at:
- 8th and Market
- 9/10th and Locust
- 12/13th and Locust
- 15/16th and Locust

Amtrak

1. 30th Street Train Station (home to SEPTA and AMTRAK) is
the hub for train lines and is two blocks from campus
2. Market/Frankfort Blue Line stops at 30th & 34th Streets
on Market
3. Green Line stops at 30th/31st and 33rd Streets on Market
4. Bus Routes 21 and 42 have stops along Walnut and Chestnut

SEPTA Tokens
A SEPTA token machine is located in the Creese Student Center Lobby next to the Information Desk. Only cash is accepted for token purchase. If you have questions, you may call the Creese Information Desk at 215-895-2515.

Philly Car Share
If you live near campus and just need a car to venture our of the city, or tool around town without the expense of owning a car, then Philly Car Share is for you. Philly Car Share is Philadelphia’s premier car-sharing service, and focuses on maximizing the economic environmental dependence in the Philadelphia regious through community based car sharing.
How it works:
- You must have been driving for at least 2 years
- Able to provide proof of insurance
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a spotless driving record or wait until 21 to apply
- This plan is available to international students with a international drivers license as well.
- After registering, take the online orientation and choose from the two rate plans available
- Then reserve a car online or by phone
- Find out which car locations (pods) are by you and select the car you need
- Then select the length of time you need it for.
- Keys should arrive to you in a few days
