What is the Drexel Commuter Organization (DCom)?
The Drexel Commuter Organization, DCom, is a student organization for commuter students.

The mission of the Drexel Commuter Organization, DCom, is "To increase the quality of life for Drexel Commuters through the use of social and academic programs as well as providing representation and useful facilities to commuter students."

Drexel Commuters (DCom) is a recognized student organization devoted to commuter students and their needs. DCom's purpose is to work with, and for, all commuter students to enhance their experiences at Drexel University through the initiation and coordination of social and educational programs. DCom meets on a regular basis throughout the school term.

DCom’s membership is open to all Drexel students with a specific focus being commuter students. Individuals may attend meetings, join the group, and even participate in the leadership. How can I meet other students, faculty and staff on campus?
Getting involved in student organizations, participating in intramurals, studying with classmates, and attending programs hosted on campus. You are also welcome to stop into the Charlotte Alletag Commuter Lounge in the lower level of Creese or the Office of Campus Activities in the Creese Student Center, Room 215 to learn more about the opportunities available to students. You can also e-mail commuters@drexel.edu with questions.

DCom, the Drexel Commuter Organization, meets regularly throughout the term. Their meetings are open to everyone to attend. This organization provides an avenue for commuter students to connect with one another.

Getting involved in an area of your interest is the key way to meet people and feel a part of campus life!

How do I find out about campus events?
For campus-wide events, visit the Student Life web page at http://www.drexel.edu/studentlife/ or sign-up for the student organization event listserv for weekly e-mails at http://www.drexel.edu/oca/. Both resources are consistent ways to learn more about what is happening on campus. In addition, the Commuter listserv also provides campus and community wide information and information on event and activities just for commuters. To join the commuter listserv, please email commuters@drexel.edu

If you are looking for information about a specific student group, visit the student organization directory at http://www.drexel.edu/oca/so or call the Office of Student Activities at 215-895-1328 to get contact information.

Where do I go to find out more about student organizations?
If you are looking for information about a variety of groups are recognized or for a specific group, visit the student organization directory at http://www.drexel.edu/oca/so. This on-line directory categorizes groups by General Interest, Academic/Honorary, Media, Religious/Political, Sports, Cultural, Graduate, and Goodwin College of Evening and Professional Studies.

You may also stop in Creese 215 or call the Office of Campus Activities at 215-895-1328 to get information about existing groups or how to start a new student organization.

What religious services are held during the week?
Below are the three religious groups that form the Interfaith Council. You can contact these groups directly for more information.

Drexel Hillel (Jewish) in Creese Student Center at 215-895-2531
Newman Center (Catholic) at the Newman Center at 215-590-8760

There are designated places for prayer on Drexel’s campus. Services, rituals, and other religious gatherings may also occur.

The St. Katharine Drexel chapel is located on the 2nd floor of the Newman Center on 33rd and Chestnut Streets. For more information about the hours at the Newman Center for the St. Katharine Drexel chapel, please call 215-590-8760.

Please check with the Interfaith Council groups for more information about other places to pray.
