Can I eat in the cafeteria?
Yes! Students may dine paying a per meal fee or choose from one of the several dining options designed specifically for commuter students.
Drexel Dining Services offers plans with great food at a great value! There are several plans specifically designed to meet the dining needs of commuters.
5 Meals/Week + $225 Meal Plan dollars $690 per term
9 Meals/Week + $300 Meal Plan dollars $995 per term
Gold Meal Plan +$200 Meal Plan dollars $1420 per term*

Meals can be used anytime throughout the term during the dining hall’s service hours. Students also receive money in meal plan dollars to use for purchases at any Drexel Dining Services location, including: the Intech Creese Café, Handschumacher Dining Center, North Side Market, Ross Commons and the new Starbucks© in the Pearlstein Building. Meal Plan Dollars may also be used to bring a guest into the Handschumacher Dining Center. NEW this year, meal plan dollars may be used at the Café at the Hahnemann University Hospital.
Dragon Dollars
This plan allows a student to take advantage of the stored value card function of their Dragon Card. A student may designate a specific amount of a deposit to be used at the Campus Dining Services only. Dining Services offers an incentive for use at Campus Dining Services locations only. For every $100 receive an extra 5%, for every $250 receive an extra 7% and for every $500 receive an extra 9%. The minimum deposit to open an account is $100. Money can be added to the account in minimum deposits of $25.
The Dining Services Fund plan allows students to take advantage of the debit card function of their DragonCard. A student may place any dollar amount into their Dining Services Fund for use at any Drexel Dining Services location. The minimum deposit to open an account is $100. Where can I get food?
There are various on-campus locations to grab something to eat. The Handschumacher Dining Hall in the Creese Student Center Complex is a cafeteria style dining option. Students can eat on a per meal basis or they can sign-up for a meal plan. Options geared toward commuter students are available.
Also in the Creese Student Complex are the INTECH Creese Café. The North Side Market, located on the north side of campus in Kelly Hall, also offers a quick stop option for students. The Ross Commons on the north end of campus has three food station locations ranging from coffee to grill items.
Various food trucks are around campus, with a large number located next to the Main Building.
30th Street train station, which is just 2 blocks from campus, has a food court. Offerings include Au Bon Pain, McDonalds, local eateries, and more.
