LinkEdu: Services for Drexel Students

LinkEdu is a unique partnership that combines Drexel University's technology and integration strengths with two of the world’s largest information technology companies, Google™ and Microsoft™, to provide students with a growing array of services that use the drexel.edu domain and offer a vast amount of storage — currently 27.5 GB per student — without cost, and, in most cases, without advertisements.

Drexel-provided services, such as the school email automatically assigned to all incoming students, are not being eliminated or reduced. LinkEdu simply adds more options, services, capabilities and accounts. Students can choose all three LinkEdu accounts, pick just the ones that meet their needs, or ignore LinkEdu altogether. LinkEdu services are currently provided by Google and Microsoft; Microsoft offers up to two accounts to students, one of which is Hotmail (which offers email and calendars, as well as other features), and the other is the next-generation of Microsoft Exchange.
