Register Your Device
Computers running current version of Windows or MacOS should automatically detect the
DragonFly networks when on campus. When your computer sees multiple DragonFly networks,
you should choose DragonFly3 first, then DragonFly2, and finally the original DragonFly.
DragonFly3 makes use of your user-id and password to secure the network. As such, you do
not need to register your wireless device to use DragonFly3.
However, to use DragonFly2 or the original
DragonFly, your wireless device needs to be registered and you must tell
your computer how DragonFly encrypts data.
Registration is fast and easy. Your Drexel email user-id and password is required to
authenticate yourself. Once authenticated you simply provide information about the kind
of wireless device you have. The database of registered users is updated every ten minutes
so you should be able to get online quickly.
