Installing the Cisco VPN client for Windows XP:

    1. Double-click the "CiscoVPN_4_6_windows" file that you downloaded from the FTP site to begin the extraction process.
    2. If you have Windows XP and have updated to Service Pack 2, you may see an "Open File - Security Warning" dialog box, like the one shown here.  If so, click "Run".  If not, go to the next step.
    3. Click "Unzip" to extract the installer files.
    4. When the file extraction is complete, the box shown on the right will appear; click "OK".
    5. Then, click "Close" to close the file extraction window.
    6. Locate the "VPN" folder on your desktop and double-click it.  Then, double-click the "vpnclient_setup" file to begin installing the client software.
    7. Click "Next".
    8. Click the bubble in front of "I accept the license agreement" and then click "Next".
    9. You'll click "Next" on the next two windows that appear.
    10. Click "Finish".
    11. To complete the installation, your computer needs to be restarted.  You can click "Yes" to restart your system now.  If this isn't a good time to restart, then you can click "No", but you won't be able to use the VPN until you restart.  After you restart, visit the Drexel IRT VPN Page (you may want to go there now and make it a bookmark or favorite) and click on Connecting To Drexel's VPN Using Cisco's VPN Client to learn how to make the connection to our VPN.
