Downloading the Cisco VPN Client for Mac OS X:

These instructions are for Safari.  Other web browsers (Netscape, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) will work as well, but the login box may look different.

    1. Click here to go to the IRT home page (this will open in another window so you can refer back to this page).  When that window opens, click on "Computer Marketplace".
    2. Click on "Get Software", then the "Login to Download Software" button.

    3. In the "Name:" field, enter "drexel\(username*)" and then type your Drexel domain password** in the "Password:" field.  We recommend against checking the "Remember this password..." box for security and reliability reasons.   If you have problems logging in, please visit our Software Site Help Page.

    * "username" - This is the username you use to log in to DrexelOne, Webmail, or computers on the Drexel domain and is typically your initials followed by 2 or 3 numbers.

** "Drexel domain password" - This is the password you'd use to log in to computers on the Drexel domain (eg: the computers in Korman or the library).  This may be set to the same value as your DrexelOne or Webmail password, but it is not necessarily the same password.

    Internet Explorer:

    Safari:

    4. If you're an employee, click "FacultyandStaff"; if you're a student, click "Students"
    5. Click "MacintoshSoftware"
    6. Click "Cisco_VPN"
    7. There are two VPN clients for Mac OS X: one for 10.2.x-10.3.x and another for 10.4.x ("Tiger").  Click on the appropriate link for your version of Mac OS.  If you don't know what version you have, click "About This Mac" in the Apple menu and look for "Version:"
8a. If you have 10.2.x ("Jaguar") or 10.3.x ("Panther"), click the "CiscoVPN-4_8-MacOSX.dmg" file.  If you're upgrading from an older version of the Cisco VPN Client, you should Uninstall that version first.  If you're installing for the first time, you can Install The New Cisco VPN Client.
8b. If you have 10.4.x ("Tiger"), click the "CiscoVPN-4_9-MacOSX.dmg" file.  If you're upgrading from an older version of the Cisco VPN Client, you should Uninstall that version first.  If you're installing for the first time, you can Install The New Cisco VPN Client.
