Policy for Reserving
Computer Labs in Korman Center
Faculty members and department staff are welcome to reserve computer-equipped
classrooms in Korman for their academic classes, presentations and

IMPORTANT POINTS TO CONSIDER:
To reserve a computer lab in the Korman Center, complete the classroom
request form or email us at irt.classrooms@drexel.edu.
Please do not telephone with requests. It is important the
all information be provided in written form to avoid confusion and
errors.
Computers in the classrooms are configured during term breaks so
any special software requests must come during the month prior to
the beginning of the term during which you plan to use the room
(i.e., for the Fall Term, submit your request in August, etc.)
We cannot make additions or changes to software on the computers
once the term has started.
Be aware of licensing issues which may prevent installing software
on a multiple computers. Software installed by IRT includes those
applications listed on the Korman Licensed Software page at http://www.drexel.edu/IRT/facilities/korman/software.html.
Requests to install other applications must be accompanied by
original media and license documentation.
Reservations can be made for the entire term or for selected times
while the Korman Center facility is open. The calendar is posted
at http://www.drexel.edu/IRT/facilities/korman/calendar.
Reservations are made on a first come first served basis and should
be made as early as possible.
When reserving a room for one day, or several days with no special
requirements, email at least two weeks in advance. We do attempt
to accommodate any request which comes in at any time, but IRT cannot
guarantee that a lab will be available because because demand is
high, especially during the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the
week.
When submitting your request give a detailed and accurate description
of what is needed including: dates, times, number of students, course
name and number, department, your name and phone number, whether
you prefer a Mac or Windows lab, what software you plan to use,
video or overhead projection, and any special requests you have.
