SUSTAIN ANTHONY J. DREXEL’S VISION

Visionaries like you have sustained our University since Anthony J. Drexel made his $3 million gift in 1891 to establish the Drexel Institute of Art, Science and Industry. His philanthropy was heralded as “princely gifts, worthy of the giver…and of the high causes of art and science and industry to which they are dedicated.”

Your membership in the Anthony J. Drexel Society helps us to make today’s visions a reality, including:
• Scholarship and fellowship funding for students
• The Drexel Writing Center, a free service for all members of the Drexel community
• Improvement in college rankings and degree value

PROVIDE INSPIRATION for the Next Generation

Our newest students are the most academically talented in Drexel history as measured by test scores and grade point average. Anthony J. Drexel Society members enable Drexel to inspire these exceptional individuals to shape a better world for us all.

Inspirational projects made possible by your Society membership include:
• Recruitment of distinguished faculty who engage and motivate students
• Beautification and preservation of University buildings
• Tuition support for students in need

BLAZE NEW TRAILS

Like our students, faculty and alumni, Drexel University is always innovating. Trailblazers like you are an integral part of helping Drexel improve society.

Trailblazing projects supported by your Society membership include:
• State-of-the-art computer labs for enhanced learning
• The Philadelphia GROW Project, a nutrition program for low-income children and their families
• 11th Street Family Health Services of Drexel University, a clinic offering comprehensive care and health promotion to an underserved population

Matching Gifts

Double or triple your gift through Your Employer’s Matching Gift Program

Many employers match employees’ charitable contributions, providing an opportunity for you to double and in some cases triple your charitable gift. Check with your human resources office or visit www.matchinggifts/drexel.edu to find out if your employer participates in such a program. Any funds contributed by your employer through a matching gift program will be included in the total of your annual gift for purposes of Society eligibility.

The “Annual Gift” is the total of tax-deductible contributions received during a single fiscal year, July 1 through June 30, including funds received through corporate matching gift programs .

Couples will qualify for joint membership if they give a combined total of $1,000 or more.

For tax purposes, a donor is required by Internal Revenue Service regulation to subtract the market value of any benefits accepted from the total amount of a donation made to a charitable institution. The market value of any goods or services a donor accepts in response to a charitable gift is not tax deductible.
