*The total tax-deductible contributions received during a single fund year, July 1st through June 30th. Funds received by the University through corporate matching gift programs, in which employers match their employees’ gifts to a charitable institution, are counted toward a donor’s annual gift. Member Benefits Members of the Society receive announcements of major lecture series, invitations to exclusive events, special publications and other opportunities to be involved with the Drexel community according to membership category within the Society.
Recent Graduates Program To give recent graduates the opportunity to enjoy the privileges of Society membership, a program of progressive giving has been established. Undergraduates are invited to contribute $100 in the spring of their senior year and fulfill their membership pledge at increasing levels over the next four years.
After the fifth year, an annual contribution of $1,000 or more guarantees continued membership in the Society. Matching Gifts Double or triple your gift through Your Employer’s Matching Gift Program Many employers match employees’ charitable contributions, providing an opportunity for you to double and in some cases triple your charitable gift. Check with your human resources office or visit www.matchinggifts/drexel.edu to find out if your employer participates in such a program. Any funds contributed by your employer through a matching gift program will be included in the total of your annual gift for purposes of Society eligibility. The “Annual Gift” is the total of tax-deductible contributions received during a single fiscal year, July 1 through June 30, including funds received through corporate matching gift programs . Couples will qualify for joint membership if they give a combined total of $1,000 or more. For tax purposes, a donor is required by Internal Revenue Service regulation to subtract the market value of any benefits accepted from the total amount of a donation made to a charitable institution. The market value of any goods or services a donor accepts in response to a charitable gift is not tax deductible. To print the Anthony J Drexel Brochure click here. |
