Emotional Wellness Introduction

Emotional wellness is the basis of a happy, productive, and well-balanced life. Stress, anxiety, grief, depression, and relationship issues can all impact emotional wellness. The right knowledge is crucial to maintaining emotional wellness and managing important life issues particularly during the college years.

A Healthier U provides comprehensive resources and information to help Drexel students develop the skills needed to achieve overall emotional wellness.

Student Counseling Centers

Drexel provides counseling services for psychological assistance and support to all currently enrolled students. Counseling Centers located on the University City Main Campus and the Center City Hahnemann Campus are staffed by licensed psychologists, counselors, and social workers. General psychological services at the centers include individual, couple and group counseling, crisis support, outreach programs, and educational resources.

Mind/Body/Spirit Classes

The Drexel Recreation Center offers a number of mind, body and spirit classes designed to help students improve overall emotional wellness. Yoga, Pilates and Healing Qigong classes can improve health, healing, strength and balance while reducing levels of anxiety, depression and stress.
