Emotional Wellness

Emotional wellness is the basis of a happy, productive, and well-balanced life. Stress, grief, depression, work conflicts, and relationship issues can all impact emotional wellness. The right knowledge is crucial to maintaining emotional wellness and managing life and work issues.

A Healthier U provides comprehensive resources and information to help Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine employees develop the skills needed to achieve overall emotional wellness and a healthy work/life balance.

PENN Behavioral Health

PENN Behavioral Health offers programs, training and education resources that help build a positive, healthy, and productive work environment.

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides guidance and counseling for full-time and part-time benefits eligible faculty and staff and dependents dealing with personal or professional issues.

Work Life Program

The free and confidential Work/Life referral service provides critical consulting and resource support for employees balancing the demands of work, childcare and elder care.

Educational Materials/Resources

Behavioral health, personal/family and workplace resources offer in-depth and insightful information to employees in need of support. They include: web-based articles, newsletters, professional advice on family and work issues, and links for national crisis center listings.

Lunch & Learns

Specific courses addressing such topics as anger management, stress and burnout, grief and loss, and resilience development are offered to employees.

Other Resources

Smoking cessation and stress management programs are available to employees through the Healthy LifestylesSM program, a wellness initiative from Independence Blue Cross (IBC).
