Dr. Waite’s scholarly and research interests focus on mental health promotion, behavioral assessment, early intervention, and treatment among vulnerable populations affected by depression, adult ADHD, and psychological trauma. She has been awarded several grants as the PI and collaborates on other grants with colleagues in varied contexts.
Dr. Waite is a member of numerous professional and community organizations and she serves on the Boards of the International Society for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurses; Southeastern Area Pennsylvania Black Nurses Association; Chi Eta Phi, Inc; Attention Deficit Disorder Association Professional Advisory Board; Mental Health America of Southeastern PA and the University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing, Alumnae Nursing Board of Directors.
Dr. Waite also publishes extensively in peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, and other nursing magazines. She is a peer-reviewer for 6 refereed journals and serves on the Editorial Board for Perspectives in Psychiatric Care and on the Regional Board of Directors for Advance for Nurses.
