The mission of Drexel University Libraries is to support the University's academic programs, research initiatives and student learning. Through its facilities, services, print and electronic collections and the work of its engaged and committed staff, the libraries actively collaborate in the educational mission of Drexel University.
Drexel’s Archives collect, preserve and make available the history of the institution through its print and visual records and through its digital institutional repository. The University Archivist assists students, faculty, alumni and researchers as they explore the history of the University and its predecessor organizations.
Serving the entire institution and in particular those colleges and schools based on the University City Main Campus, Hagerty Library offers a center for study and learning supported by subject-expert librarians and focused collections.
With customized services and collections to support the Drexel University College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Professions and the School of Public Health, the Health Sciences Libraries meet the needs of students, faculty and clinical practitioners. Both the Hahnemann (Center City Campus) and Queen Lane Libraries offer 24/7 facilities and expert staff. The Archives and Special Collections on Women in Medicine and Homeopathy are the repository for the records and heritage of the Drexel University College of Medicine and its distinguished predecessor institutions, which pioneered medical education for women in the United States and the study of homeopathic theories and practices.
This newest library at Drexel offers state-of-the-art facilities, professional librarians and a wide-ranging collection of print and electronic resources that support the Earle Mack School of Law's core legal curriculum, faculty research and specialties in health care law, entrepreneurial business law and intellectual property law.
